I am a lens-based artist, educator and event curator whose work often begins with the simplicity of a place. With professional experience ranging from programming and leading community art events, chairing a fire-side art conference, creating impact productions and live events, to being an art lecturer, my aim is to facilitate the broadening of perspectives (and the sparking of dialogue) through experiences that merge community, art and creative advocacy.
In my art I capture aspects and dimensions of place, working across collected materials (photography, video, stories, histories and archival materials) to discover points of resonance, form and meaning, ultimately creating quietly evocative narratives that triangulate between the lived, mediated and internal spaces of modern experience.
I am currently working on a documentary that intertwines familial and Los Angeles histories and stories, and overarching questions and ideas about experience, memory and perception in the City of Dreams.
