Bowline and Stitch was a 3-day contract of social engagement initiated in December of 2016. Using information I gathered from an online "Personal Contract of Engagement" created for this project, I materialized the physical location points of participants, and those of their promised personal connections, by mapping and stitching each location on a large picture window curtain at Clamp Light Artist Studios & Gallery in San Antonio, Texas.
The aggregate of these points were expressed through my month-long performance of stitching locations on a daily basis, and through the physical curtain created in the process.
